When I first moved to NYC, I wasn’t particularly a fan of the summers here. You see, humidity and me…we don’t go so well together. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m a winter baby, or it’s because of the fact that I tend to sweat just a tad bit more (ok that’s a lie. make that a shit ton more) than the average woman should, but I absolutely despise the heat. Whenever summer came around, I paid no mind to any and all outdoor events and instead spent almost all my time indoors with my best friend, AC. But eventually I started discovering some of the fun things that the city had to offer during the summer: Parties on Governors Island, street fairs, rooftop events, and free concerts at SummerStage in Central Park, just to name a few. In fact, just the other week some of my friends and I went to SummerStage to support our friends Year of the Ox!
Backpacks are my concert essential: Easiest, most comfortable way to carry all my (un)necessary belongings
Just a bunch of crazy kids
OK, NYC summers…I guess you’re not so bad after all. <3
